Welcome to my blog! Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I have created this blog to display my skills, abilities, accomplishments and my future goals. I hope by reading this you get a better understanding of who I am. My name is Diana Ramirez and I am currently a Freshman at Rider University. I am double majoring in International Business and Marketing. I am fluent is Spanish but I also want to Learn Italian and improve my Portuguese here at Rider. With my degree I hope to travel for an International Business. As for now, I am looking for an internship in the field of International Business and/or Marketing. Letter of Intent
Dear Internship Coordinator,
I am currently interested in an internship in the fields of International Business and Marketing. As a double major in International Business and Marketing, I feel that my skills and passion for this field can aide me in gaining more experience with this internship. Throughout the years I have gained skills in leadership and communication, that I feel are perfect for this field.
Although I am only a freshman at Rider University, I feel that my hard working personality and my skills will be sufficient for this position. I have acquired many leadership roles in my high school as well as college. In high school I was Captain of the Girl's Softball Team, a Scholar Athlete, and Class Publicist for two consecutive years. Now at Rider University, I am Freshman Class Treasurer, member of Emerging Leaders, member of the Multicultural Student Leadership Institute, and I am involved in many other clubs and organizations. With all these leadership roles I have gained skills that are valuable in the field of Business. Such as public speaking, writing, management strategies and great people/communication skills. Being bilingual, is also a great advantage for working in the field of Business. I feel that all my skills and abilities will allow me to excel in an internship with your company.

Biography
I was born and raised in New Jersey. Growing up with two Latino parents, my first language was Spanish. One of my first and hardest obstacles as a child was learning English. After taking ESL (English as a Second Language) courses I finally became fluent in English by the second grade. Learning a new language and adapting to a new environment, I will have to say, is on of the biggest challenges in life. Living through that experience made me into a stronger and more will-powered individual. Nothing to me was impossible.
I attended High School. Throughout my years in high school I became very involved in clubs and organizations. I am a very athletic and competitive individual and I played many sports. I also obtained leadership roles inside and outside the classroom. I always gave everything 110%. I was a 4 yr. honor student and varsity athlete. During my junior year, I began researching colleges. I have always been determined to become a respected international business women. For that reason I decided to attend Rider University, where they are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International).
I got excepted in Rider's Educational Opportunity Program and I am currently majoring in International Business and Marketing. After I graduate I plan to obtain a job in the field of International Business and/or Marketing with an International Business.

Academic Experiences
At Rider I am currently taking five courses. Expository Writing, Intro to Speech Communications, Race, Class, and Gender in America, Intro to Business and Quantitative Methods for Business. I have linked some of work that I have accomplished with my time here at Rider.
My Memoir : I used this paper as my entrance essay on my application for Rider University.
Heritage Paper: In my "Race, Class and Gender in America" course, we had to research out heritage and write a reflection paper. I believe this paper is a great insight of how I became the person I am today.
"A Week in the Life...": In my "Introduction to Business" course I had to interview a professional in a field of interest. I interviewed a Rider Alumni that worked in the field of Marketing. Writing this paper, made me realize the degree and career I want to pursue.
I have also been asked to create and present PowerPoint Presentations. In my "Introduction to Speech Communication" course, I have had to prepare numerous presentations and use my public speaking skills to present in front of an audience.
My Passion for Soccer: My first PowerPoint presentation was on my passion for soccer. I organized my speech throughout the slides in my presentation.
Jeopardy: For an organization that I am a member of, LASO, I constructed a Jeopardy Game with Microsoft PowerPoint.

Art Work
One of my favorite hobbies is art. I am very creative and enjoy all arts and crafts. I have constructed a slide show of some of my art work. My favorite mediums is pen & ink, acrylic painting, oil painting and pastel paintings.
